Hi! I am Amber Schmidt. I joined up with Illuminate Ministries back in the winter of 2007 at a Family Force Five concert. Since that time, I have been stuck to Illuminate like chewing gum stuck to the bottom of a shoe. Wait a minute...that did not sound very good. Anyway, I have a deep commitment to my
faith in Christ, and am passionate about sharing it with high school youth. Before I sign off, I think you should know that I have a sweet phone and am really good at making braids! Peace.
Hey I'm Jason and I am the Senior High Youth Minister here at Hope Community Church. I have been going to Hope for 5 years now, and this fall I will be starting my fifth year with Illuminate. I was born in Kansas, but raised in Stillwater, Minnesota where I graduated in 1998. During my sophomore year at the University of Minnesota I had an amazing experience with our Lord and Savior -- Jesus Christ. He saved me and He changed my entire life around. Since that time I have graduated from Prescott College with a BA in Religious Studies, from Bethel Seminary with a MATS, was married to my beautiful wife Ceallaigh, and have an awesome, smart, funny boy named William. I am also the Coordinator for the Stillwater School District's before and after school program - Adventure Club. I get to try and learn the names of around 900 elementary school kids, and help them have a little fun getting their wiggles out.
Jesse Splan has been with the youth of Hope CC longer than anyone else. In fact, he has been at Hope CC longer than anyone else. Until he turns in his own bio, we will just be referring to him on this website as Grandpa Jesse, Old Man Jesse, or even Jesse Time.
