Cor is married to Jill - the woman of his dreams (He says, "I'm 100% sure she's my soul mate. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me."). He is the father of two wonderful sons. Drew Christopher was born on September 8th, 2003 ("Christopher" after his uncle) and Isaac Matthew was born on March 22nd, 2005 ("Matthew" after his dad). And he is currently the Pastor of Outreach and Assimilation at Hope Community Church. Basically this just means he spends a lot of time at coffee shops hanging out. But, it wasn't always this glamorous...yes it was.
Cor grew up in Shoreview with great parents and two brothers. He graduated from Mounds View High School (see also: Toughest Sports Moment), the University of Minnesota (Mathematics), and Bethel Seminary (M. Div.). He enjoys football, basketball, softball, and golf. His TSM (toughest sports moment) came during his senior year of high school. Cor was in position to win a BIG basketball game for the Mustangs. It was the region final and Mounds View was playing Blaine for a chance to go to the state tournament. With 2.2 seconds left in the game and the score tied, Cor had two free throws to win the game. Well, he missed both and the Mustangs lost in overtime. He only redeemed himself years later when he married his wife (MVP of the State Champion Rosemount Danceline).

Steve was born in Hibbing, Minnesota (GO BLUEJACKETS!) and lived there all his young childhood. He learned valuable things from his time on the Iron Range -- how to say "Uff da" "Ya, sure", "Youse guys" and "Eh" after every sentence.
In 1982, Steve ventured south and attended the University of Minnesota (GO GOPHERS!). After taking up space for 5 years, they decided to award him a degree because they felt sorry for him. He graduated with honors (no, not summa cum laude or magna cum laude, but "Praise the Lordy!) in 1987. He worked for The Navigators, an international, interdenominational Christian ministry based out of Colorado Springs for 5 years at the University of Minnesota. During this time, he also taught Jr. High Math in Eden Prairie (GO EAGLES!).
In 1992, sensing that he needed to get smarter, Steve went to seminary at Bethel Theological Seminary (GO . . ah, there is no seminary team . . . GO GOD!) in St. Paul. After numerous attempts to remove him by burning him at the stake (for some reason Iron Rangers don't ignite well), they decided to award him a Master's of Divinity degree. He graduated from seminary in 1996 cum laude.
Not able to get a real job in a real church, Steve came up with a way to get employment and have a lot of fun. Actually, during his first course at seminary in the Spring of 1992, Steve came up with The Dream of starting a new church near the University of Minnesota. This came to reality in the fall of 1996, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Steve met Carole in 1985 and after feeling sorry for this guy, decided to end his bachelorhood and they were married in 1988 in South Bend, Indiana. In a short span of 5 years and 200 crates of pickles and ice cream, three wonderful, beautiful, brilliant, and adorable sons were born to them.
The Treichler's enjoy fishing, camping, bowling, Trout Lake Camp, reading, playing games, the Vikings, Twins, the Timberwolves, and hanging out with their friends.
